Maluleke FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Francis Fortuin in the 43rd minute. The nice shot from Thami Klaasens in the 67thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Meshack Tshabalala had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After a rather tough play, Maluleke FC's Steve Mabalane got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 75th match minute, Union Transvaal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Thaier to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Thami Klaasens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thami Klaasens in the 81st minute of play forced Maluleke FC's goalkeeper Meshack Tshabalala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
