The referee showed Stanislav Zobor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an all-out effort, Povoda's Radovan Ondriškovič threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michal Klein, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 19th minute, Dezider Ševčík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marek Rottmaier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antón Nývlt went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Antón Nývlt put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Marek Rottmaier. In the 31st minute of the match, Matúš Nickler got a very nice opportunity to score, but Radovan Ondriškovič was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 34 minutes into the match, FK Vysoká's Matej Haško sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marek Rottmaier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Povoda's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Petrík came free, but Marek Rottmaier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Antón Nývlt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Vysoká's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antón Nývlt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antón Nývlt in the 43rd minute of play forced Povoda's goalkeeper Marek Rottmaier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dezider Ševčík was the one to do the kick off. Dezider Ševčík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radovan Ondriškovič having to interfere. Povoda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Oliver Jambor scored to the left of an out of position Marek Rottmaier, making the score, 1-4. A collision led to FK Vysoká getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Róbert Petrík hit a great ball. If Simon Kusý had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Povoda's Marek Rottmaier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Jambor in the 65th minute of play. Antón Nývlt might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marek Rottmaier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antón Nývlt ran back to his position shaking his head. Radovan Ondriškovič took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dezider Ševčík, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radovan Ondriškovič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislav Zobor in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Antón Nývlt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marek Rottmaier. Povoda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antón Nývlt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Radovan Ondriškovič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dezider Ševčík, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Albert Hospodár got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antón Nývlt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Rottmaier having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Antón Nývlt managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Vysoká's supporters rose to their feet, but Antón Nývlt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Rottmaier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
