With a little luck, Baghdad Bruins's Ivan Kukan got control of the ball when Gabriel Ďurčo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zdeno Korach hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Martin Pliešovský had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Pliešovský received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ivan Kukan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Kukan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Pliešovský in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to FK Patrónka getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Erik Demský hit a great ball. Martin Pliešovský fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Kukan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Pliešovský in the 47th minute of play forced Baghdad Bruins's goalkeeper Ivan Kukan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Gabriel Ďurčo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Kukan having to make a save. Ivan Kukan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Ďurčo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Pliešovský sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Martin Pliešovský sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FK Patrónka booed when Baghdad Bruins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stano Ľadník didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miroslav Rezeš's late challenge caught a FK Patrónka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miroslav Rezeš helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Baghdad Bruins got a freekick which was hit by Miroslav Rezeš. After a defensive mix-up in Baghdad Bruins's zone, Gabriel Ďurčo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Kukan came out of the goal and Gabriel Ďurčo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Pliešovský sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Kukan came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Patrónka's Martin Pliešovský. But to his dismay, Martin Pliešovský quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Baghdad Bruins's Ivan Kukan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Ďurčo in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Zdeno Korach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Kukan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Ďurčo in the 93rd minute of play. When Miroslav Janáček fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Patrónka's protests and gave Miroslav Janáček a yellow card for diving instead. Miroslav Janáček kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. FK Patrónka's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
