When Stano Hanek came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the FK Vrakuňa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stano Hanek couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Róbert Jurčák successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Matúš Virčík kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. If Michal Pálffy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, Róbert Paliesek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lada FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbert Paliesek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jozef Fúzik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbert Paliesek's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Jozef Fúzik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matúš Hrabovský, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes Lada FK got a freekick which was hit by Róbert Paliesek. Jozef Fúzik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matúš Hrabovský in the 25th minute of the match. FK Vrakuňa's Róbert Vyskočil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lada FK. Jozef Fúzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matúš Hrabovský in the 30th minute of play. Lada FK's Róbert Jurčák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Pálffy in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lada FK's zone, Michal Pálffy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbert Jurčák came out of the goal and Michal Pálffy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jozef Fúzik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Paliesek, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Stano Hanek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Róbert Jurčák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matúš Hrabovský sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Róbert Paliesek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matúš Hrabovský to strike the kick off in the second half. The attack was good, but when Róbert Paliesek in the 52nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lada FK's Róbert Paliesek managed to work through FK Vrakuňa's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Róbert Paliesek dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Matúš Hrabovský received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jozef Fúzik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Róbert Paliesek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jozef Fúzik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Matúš Hrabovský had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Matúš Hrabovský put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jozef Fúzik. Ján Lapač's late challenge caught a FK Vrakuňa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ján Lapač helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lada FK's Ján Lapač got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matúš Hrabovský in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jozef Fúzik saved FK Vrakuňa from getting behind. Jozef Fúzik came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lada FK's Róbert Paliesek. But to his dismay, Róbert Paliesek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Matúš Hrabovský received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jozef Fúzik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, FK Vrakuňa's goalkeeper Jozef Fúzik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbert Paliesek. Jozef Fúzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matúš Hrabovský in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Stano Hanek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Vrakuňa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stano Hanek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, FK Vrakuňa's goalkeeper Jozef Fúzik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbert Paliesek. The FK Vrakuňa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lada FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
