Real Madrid C.F.'s Ahmad Argandona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ján Dunák in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Urgošík in the 12th minute of play forced Real Madrid C.F.'s goalkeeper Ahmad Argandona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tibor Kratochvíl 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Real Madrid C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiu Goanță to maneuver through the defense. Tibor Kratochvíl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matúš Lamoš having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Tibor Kratochvíl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Madrid C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Tibor Kratochvíl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zigmas Rudauskas in the 37th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Matúš Lamoš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sergiu Goanță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goalkeeper Matúš Lamoš had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zigmas Rudauskas. 43 minutes into the match, Real Madrid C.F.'s Zigmas Rudauskas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matúš Lamoš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Višňa made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Real Madrid C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Višňa came free, but Ahmad Argandona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid C.F.'s Tibor Kratochvíl got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Real Madrid C.F. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Sergiu Goanță hit a great ball. Real Madrid C.F.'s Ahmad Argandona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid C.F. from getting a goal against them. Zigmas Rudauskas might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matúš Lamoš. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zigmas Rudauskas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute, Marián Rendľa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Ján Dunák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmad Argandona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Real Madrid C.F.'s Ahmad Argandona got control of the ball when Gabriel Urgošík tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 84 played minutes Real Madrid C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Goanță. If Ivan Višňa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th minute Ivan Višňa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmad Argandona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Urgošík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmad Argandona having to interfere. Ahmad Argandona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Višňa, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Madrid C.F. fully deserved thier win.
