UX Hermanovce's Andrej Sobota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bohuslav Hrubý in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, FC NITRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukáš Dzúrik to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC NITRA's zone, Tomáš Berky stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matúš Breška came out of the goal and Tomáš Berky tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrej Sobota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Čiernik went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Miroslav Piatka came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC NITRA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslav Piatka couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, FC NITRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bohuslav Hrubý to maneuver through the defense. Andrej Sobota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bohuslav Hrubý's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Miroslav Piatka struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Andrej Sobota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC NITRA. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bohuslav Hrubý was the one to do the kick off. Matúš Breška tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, UX Hermanovce's Andrej Sobota got control of the ball when Miroslav Piatka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrej Sobota made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Miroslav Piatka sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bohuslav Hrubý in the 75th minute of play forced UX Hermanovce's goalkeeper Andrej Sobota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
