Spectators: 6839 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 0) Norian Kusnier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Andrej Cabak skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Slavomir Gyure kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andrej Cabak. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FK Hlohovec's zone, Slavomir Gyure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrej Cabak came out of the goal and Slavomir Gyure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrej Cabak was a little too slow when Slavomir Gyure got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. Andrej Cabak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slavomir Gyure's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Norian Kusnier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Andrej Cabak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FK Hlohovec's Gabriel Černý got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Štefan Matta fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Hlohovec's protests and gave Štefan Matta a yellow card for diving instead. Štefan Matta kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Slavomir Gyure came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Opoj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Slavomir Gyure couldn't finish the play. Andrej Cabak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slavomir Gyure in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Gabriel Podmajerský got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norian Kusnier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Andrej Cabak made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Norian Kusnier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opoj's supporters rose to their feet, but Norian Kusnier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrej Cabak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Slavomir Gyure to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norian Kusnier in the 52nd minute of play forced FK Hlohovec's goalkeeper Andrej Cabak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibor Melicharek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FK Hlohovec getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gabriel Černý hit a great ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Slavomir Gyure managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Opoj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Slavomir Gyure was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 played minutes Opoj got a freekick which was hit by Miklos Penov. FK Hlohovec's Peter Dravecký couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Opoj. In the 80th match minute, Opoj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Melicharek to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Slavomir Gyure who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Hlohovec's Andrej Cabak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 84 played minutes FK Hlohovec got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Šuran. 87 minutes into the match, FK Hlohovec's goal looked a bit too open when Slavomir Gyure came free, but Andrej Cabak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miklos Penov's late challenge caught a FK Hlohovec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miklos Penov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Miklos Penov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Gabriel Podmajerský dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alojz Cesnek, 2-1. If Slavomir Gyure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
