After 3 minutes, Martin Havran made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FK Hlohovec's Andrej Cabak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Pataj in the 6th minute of play forced FK Hlohovec's goalkeeper Andrej Cabak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FK Hlohovec's Andrej Cabak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Pataj in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Filip Hrivák's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrej Cabak was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Ivo Pataj's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrej Cabak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, FK Hlohovec's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Pataj came free, but Andrej Cabak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Gabriel Černý cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Matej Lalinský was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo Pataj in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrej Cabak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filip Hrivák might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrej Cabak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Hrivák ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34thth minute of the game Štefan Tandlich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Hlohovec's Andrej Cabak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Hrivák in the 35th minute of play forced FK Hlohovec's goalkeeper Andrej Cabak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Štefan Tandlich in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrej Cabak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. TJ Sokol Ľubotice 1992's Filip Hrivák got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrej Cabak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Pataj, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Filip Hrivák managed to get in a good position for a shot. TJ Sokol Ľubotice 1992's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Hrivák was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrej Cabak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FK Hlohovec booed when TJ Sokol Ľubotice 1992 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Hrivák didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Ivo Pataj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrej Cabak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Kaňka kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Podmajerský was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FK Hlohovec booed when TJ Sokol Ľubotice 1992 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Remšík didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Hrivák got free with Andrej Cabak in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd match minute, FK Hlohovec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Černý to maneuver through the defense. Andrej Cabak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Havran in the 66th minute of the match. Filip Hrivák recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, FK Hlohovec's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Pataj came free, but Andrej Cabak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Martin Havran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Štefan Tandlich kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Matej Lalinský took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Podmajerský, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Pataj in the 83rd minute of play forced FK Hlohovec's goalkeeper Andrej Cabak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FK Hlohovec's Andrej Cabak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FK Hlohovec from getting a goal against them. Filip Hrivák in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andrej Cabak, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Štefan Tandlich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, FK Hlohovec's Peter Hoják nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matej Lalinský made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 93rd minute, Ivo Pataj fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Andrej Cabak, passed just outside the right post.
