The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emil Pavúk during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vlkovce getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Emil Pavúk hit a great ball. Michal Saktor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukáš Slabej, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Gustáv Lukáč sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boris Lomnický struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Alfred Škultéty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlkovce. After having played for 17 minutes, Lukáš Slabej managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC DH Kosice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukáš Slabej was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Matej Mihálik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michal Saktor was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Vlkovce's Boris Lomnický slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfred Škultéty. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 27th minute, Daniel Čankovský fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfred Škultéty, passed just outside the right post. In the 32nd match minute, FC DH Kosice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matej Nemec to maneuver through the defense. Matúš Ruttkay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Alfred Škultéty made a huge save. Vlkovce's Michal Saktor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukáš Slabej in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, FC DH Kosice's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Čankovský came free, but Alfred Škultéty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Vlkovce's Boris Lomnický slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfred Škultéty. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

55 minutes into the match, Vlkovce's goal looked a bit too open when Lukáš Slabej came free, but Michal Saktor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michal Saktor made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Matej Mihálik sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th match minute, Vlkovce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Barát to maneuver through the defense. If Matej Mihálik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michal Saktor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Slabej, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Čankovský in the 73rd minute of play forced FC DH Kosice's goalkeeper Alfred Škultéty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lukáš Slabej came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the FC DH Kosice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukáš Slabej couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Slabej in the 82nd minute of play forced Vlkovce's goalkeeper Michal Saktor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Gustáv Lukáč was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC DH Kosice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vlkovce the free kick. The supporters of Vlkovce booed when FC DH Kosice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustáv Lukáč didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Matej Mihálik got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Čankovský in the 95th minute of play forced FC DH Kosice's goalkeeper Alfred Škultéty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vlkovce had won after a very even match.
