Spectators: 6829 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1829, VIP seats: 0) Michal Kryl stood somewhat misplaced when Ernest Hodorovský came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. Marek Eštok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomáš Rúžička, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes ŠK Slovan Bratislava got a freekick which was hit by Pavol Zábojník. In the 19th minute Filip Vanický shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Eštok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michal Kryl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marek Jurčo in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Podkonice's Ladislav Klingáčik got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Tomáš Rúžička's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marek Eštok was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Marek Jurčo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Podkonice defense, Marek Jurčo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michal Kryl. The Podkonice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michal Kryl should have stopped the shot. Marek Jurčo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marek Eštok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomáš Rúžička, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. ŠK Slovan Bratislava's Eduard Vorobeľ got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Eduard Vorobeľ made the kick off in the second half. Eduard Vorobeľ's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michal Kryl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Marek Jurčo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Michal Kryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Ruda kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Eduard Vorobeľ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michal Kryl having to interfere. Róbert Egl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Eštok having to interfere. Tomáš Rúžička recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomáš Rúžička struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Marek Eštok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Podkonice. Tomáš Rúžička's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marek Eštok read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute of the match Peter Chorvát sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marek Eštok skillfully saved the ball. If Eduard Vorobeľ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ŠK Slovan Bratislava's Marek Eštok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Rúžička in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Podkonice players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ŠK Slovan Bratislava.
