Lukáč Sangret was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lukáč Sangret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Poprad's Lukáč Sangret slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juraj Štefanka. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Ivo Fekiač didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viliam Valábik went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Dušan Švantner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jozef Bučko hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Viliam Valábik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ivo Fekiač tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Fekiač took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dušan Švantner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Viliam Valábik came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Chynorany FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viliam Valábik couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viliam Valábik in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivo Fekiač prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 minutes, Matej Mládek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chynorany FC and the Poprad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matej Mládek hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Dušan Švantner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Fekiač having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lukáč Sangret to make the kick off. Juraj Štefanka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukáč Sangret in the 51st minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Chynorany FC got a freekick which was hit by Michal Kaľavský. The audience cheered when Marek Jendrišák's long shot passed Juraj Štefanka's right side. It was 2-1, 59 minutes into the match. Dušan Švantner struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ivo Fekiač didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chynorany FC. Viliam Valábik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivo Fekiač came out and tried to block the shot, but Viliam Valábik slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 77th minute. Michal Krajcer charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michal Krajcer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Poprad:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chynorany FC:s goal. In the 87th minute, Chynorany FC got a penalty, and Stanislav Matto placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 90th minute, Jozef Bučko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 played minutes Chynorany FC got a freekick which was hit by Michal Kaľavský. After having played for 99 minutes, Jozef Bučko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poprad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jozef Bučko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
