Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Najmík in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernest Čerňanský prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 4th minute, Róbert Janič got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimír Danížek hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Ernest Čerňanský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Najmík, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Gabriel Najmík succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 9th playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Najmík in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Čerňanský saved Adidovce from getting behind. Ján Hajdu hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A collision led to Adidovce getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Róbert Tarageľ hit a great ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Gabriel Najmík managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Ružinov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Najmík was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tibor Rot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimír Danížek hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ernest Čerňanský acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zdeno Pollák. After having played for 40 minutes, Gabriel Najmík managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Ružinov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Najmík was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Adidovce's Ján Hajdu got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Gabriel Najmík came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FK Ružinov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Najmík couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Adidovce's Vladimír Danížek got a free kick in the 61st minute. Zdeno Pollák took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ernest Čerňanský. Adidovce's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Adidovce getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tomáš Višňovský hit a great ball. Gabriel Najmík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Čerňanský having to interfere. Matej Híreš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Najmík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ernest Čerňanský tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Najmík might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernest Čerňanský. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Najmík ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Najmík in the 85th minute of play forced Adidovce's goalkeeper Ernest Čerňanský to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matej Híreš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Čerňanský having to interfere. After 87 minutes, Róbert Tarageľ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adidovce and the FK Ružinov players grew even worse after the yellow card.
