Tomáš Kramer hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Martin Machata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Najmík's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Najmík's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Machata was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ladislav Mihálek during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the JUNIORKA SLOVANA defense, Gabriel Najmík kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Machata. The JUNIORKA SLOVANA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Machata should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute of the match Ľubomír Kostra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Machata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marek Ižold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ján Tonhauser in the 29th minute. Matej Híreš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Martin Machata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Machata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Najmík went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Róbert Janič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Najmík's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Machata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Gabriel Najmík ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Machata was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Gabriel Najmík who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JUNIORKA SLOVANA's Martin Machata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led FK Ružinov's Zdeno Pollák to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Machata despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Róbert Janič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Matej Híreš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Gabriel Najmík managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Ružinov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Najmík was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute Ján Tonhauser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Ižold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gabriel Najmík had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 80 in the game by Gabriel Najmík from a close distance when the talented Martin Machata managed to make a qualified save. JUNIORKA SLOVANA's players were relieved. Martin Machata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Rot in the 82nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Najmík in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Machata saved JUNIORKA SLOVANA from getting behind. When the match was over FK Ružinov could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than JUNIORKA SLOVANA throughout the match.
