Róbert Cupa was slow to take the kick. During this time Kysučan FK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Kysučan FK's Tomáš Kundrát to fire away a dangerous shot which Michal Jurčina despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Lerry team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Martin Sudovský fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Kurina having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Lerry team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ján Horváth to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Lerry team were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
