Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Martin Šrobár kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Jozef Hauser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dušan Krnáč saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jozef Hauser in the 6th minute of play forced Brekov's goalkeeper Dušan Krnáč to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kysučan FK's Tomáš Kundrát got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11thth minute of the game Jozef Hauser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brekov's Dušan Krnáč was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ľubomír Kortišs short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Ivan Kurina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Martin Šrobár got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Brekov's Viktor Rangl got a free kick in the 17th minute. Róbert Cupa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dušan Krnáč tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Richard Masopust hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Kysučan FK's Vladimír Bella nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dušan Krnáč made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dušan Krnáč showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef Hauser, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Kysučan FK's Ivan Kurina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ľubomír Kolek in the 37th minute of play. Viktor Rangl kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Brekov defense, Martin Šrobár kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dušan Krnáč. The Brekov fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dušan Krnáč should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute of the match Peter Takáč sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Kurina skillfully saved the ball. After 45 played minutes Brekov got a freekick which was hit by Peter Valábik. After the first half Kysučan FK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ľubomír Kolek made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ľubomír Kortiš managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brekov's supporters rose to their feet, but Ľubomír Kortiš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Kurina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Šrobár was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Kysučan FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 57th minute Jozef Hauser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dušan Krnáč saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tomáš Kundrát fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kysučan FK's protests and gave Tomáš Kundrát a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ľubomír Kolek in the 70th minute of play forced Kysučan FK's goalkeeper Ivan Kurina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Vladimír Bella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kysučan FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brekov the free kick. Kysučan FK's Ivan Kurina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Valábik in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Brekov getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Matej Šesták hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Ľubomír Kolek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimír Bella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Jozef Hauser recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dušan Krnáč. Jozef Hauser showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Jozef Hauser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dušan Krnáč had great luck who in the 85thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jozef Hauser from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 88 minutes of play Kysučan FK's Tomáš Kundrát was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 88 played minutes Kysučan FK got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Kundrát. After 90 played minutes Kysučan FK got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Kundrát. Ľubomír Kortiš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ľubomír Kortiš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A sloppy throw-in by Martin Chovanec in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kysučan FK's Vladimír Bella. When the match was over Kysučan FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brekov throughout the match.
