An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Petreje in the 13th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Matúš Vitkovič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Maros Kordiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukáč Jančich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Richard Slaný got a free kick in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Mergildo came free, but Matúš Vitkovič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Liverpool FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Stanislav Valovič hit a great ball. In the 32nd match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Džubák to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ľubomír Paštrnák got free with Lukáč Jančich in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stanislav Valovič made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Atletico Lula's Viktor Brdáč. After some careless play in the Liverpool FC defense, Mateo Mergildo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matúš Vitkovič. The Liverpool FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matúš Vitkovič should have stopped the shot. Matúš Vitkovič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bar Scully in the 41st minute of play. Richard Petreje's late challenge caught a Liverpool FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Petreje helped the player get up and apologised. The Liverpool FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atletico Lula were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateo Mergildo to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Ľubomír Paštrnák's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lukáč Jančich was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. If Bar Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ľubomír Paštrnák in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lukáč Jančich saved Atletico Lula from getting behind. Lukáč Jančich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ľubomír Paštrnák, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Stanislav Valovič scored 1-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lukáč Jančich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Atletico Lula getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mateo Mergildo hit a great ball. Although Liverpool FC had been in control for most of the match, Atletico Lula still came away with the win.
