The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes FC 23 Hatalov got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Timčo. Ctibor Sečanský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ctibor Sepeši, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Ctibor Sečanský took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juli Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dušan Ferenčík kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. FC 23 Hatalov's Ctibor Sečanský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ctibor Sepeši in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, FC 23 Hatalov's goal looked a bit too open when Juli Alvarez came free, but Ctibor Sečanský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Samo Gašparovič fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC 23 Hatalov's protests and gave Samo Gašparovič a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes FC 23 Hatalov got a freekick which was hit by Samo Gašparovič. If Ctibor Sepeši had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Björn Andreasson got free with Radoslav Zobor in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladislav Kuba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ctibor Sečanský read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godfredo Oliveiro was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC DAC 1904 booed when FC 23 Hatalov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Štefan Malenovský didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juli Alvarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ctibor Sečanský made a huge save. FC 23 Hatalov's Ctibor Sečanský proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC 23 Hatalov from getting a goal against them. FC DAC 1904 made a substitution. Andrej Maliniak replaced Juli Alvarez. 77 minutes into the match, FC 23 Hatalov's goal looked a bit too open when Vladislav Kuba came free, but Ctibor Sečanský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladislav Kuba in the 79th minute of play forced FC 23 Hatalov's goalkeeper Ctibor Sečanský to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
