The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Hubovo FC's Ľubomír Straka got a free kick in the 6th minute. Kamil Lukáč's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jozef Bernát read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Jozef Bernát stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Gerbóc's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. FK 1952's Stano Čerňan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dávid Kudlak in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute Ladislav Tomeček shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stano Čerňan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ladislav Tomeček to strike the kick off in the second half. Dávid Kudlak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stano Čerňan having to make a save. In the 57th minute of the match, Ladislav Tomeček tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stano Čerňan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Ladislav Tomeček came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Hubovo FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Gerbóc in the 66th minute of play forced Hubovo FC's goalkeeper Jozef Bernát to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th match minute, FK 1952 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stano Telka to maneuver through the defense. Stano Čerňan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislav Tomeček, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 played minutes Hubovo FC got a freekick which was hit by Pavol Maťašovský. Eugen Gerbóc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jozef Bernát showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamil Lukáč in the 81st minute of the match. FK 1952's Eugen Gerbóc got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miroslav Kantor hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Eugen Gerbóc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jozef Bernát having to interfere. Eugen Gerbóc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hubovo FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Miroslav Rys hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hubovo FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
