Spectators: 8425 (Terracing: 6319, Seating: 1938, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ersan Sayfi started the match with the kick off. Ersan Sayfi's late challenge caught a Judas Priest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Matej Vičan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michal Špilár came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Hlohovec's Ersan Sayfi. But to his dismay, Ersan Sayfi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 23 minutes into the match, Matej Breštenský had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matej Vičan. Hlohovec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matej Breštenský was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 27 minutes into the match, Hlohovec's goal looked a bit too open when Matej Breštenský came free, but Matej Vičan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Hlohovec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Tuka to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hlohovec getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Viktor Slivoň hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Stanislav Andrejkovič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matej Vičan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hlohovec's Matej Vičan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislav Andrejkovič in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Hlohovec's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislav Andrejkovič came free, but Matej Vičan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Smrtič lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 39th minute, one of Hlohovec:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hlohovec. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matej Breštenský to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Stanislav Andrejkovič managed to get in a good position for a shot. Judas Priest's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislav Andrejkovič was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matej Vičan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Judas Priest booed when Hlohovec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ľubomír Rechtorík didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matej Vičan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislav Andrejkovič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ľubomír Rechtorík charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ľubomír Rechtorík the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Ľubomír Rechtorík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filip Bartovič scored 1-5 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matej Vičan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stanislav Andrejkovič struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Matej Vičan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Judas Priest. If Filip Bartovič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Judas Priest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miloš Karvaš to maneuver through the defense. When Ivan Kniha got free in front of the goal in the 89th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Matej Vičan was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Judas Priest's goal looked a bit too open when Ersan Sayfi came free, but Michal Špilár reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matej Vičan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislav Andrejkovič in the 94th minute of play.
