The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Petrică Turcescu made a precise shot to the right of Štefan Šandal. MŠK Púchov's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Peter Petro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MŠK Púchov's Vojtech Kliment got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Peter Petro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Štefan Šandal, passed just outside the right post. In the 14th minute, Ferdinand Klein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Petrică Turcescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dobrudja 1919's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petrică Turcescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute Peter Petro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Štefan Šandal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Petro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Štefan Šandal made a huge save. After a rather tough play, MŠK Púchov's Žigmund Janoško got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Dobrudja 1919 getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Mauro Abastas hit a great ball. Štefan Šandal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Turcescu in the 26th minute. In the 32nd minute, Peter Petro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dobrudja 1919 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petrică Turcescu couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Peter Petro notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of MŠK Púchov's Štefan Šandal. Štefan Šandal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 minutes, Peter Zeman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MŠK Púchov and the Dobrudja 1919 players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peter Zeman made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, MŠK Púchov's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Soberano came free, but Štefan Šandal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MŠK Púchov defense, Peter Petro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Štefan Šandal. The MŠK Púchov fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Štefan Šandal should have stopped the shot. Štefan Šandal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Abastas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Štefan Šandal came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Dobrudja 1919's Peter Petro. But to his dismay, Peter Petro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Petrică Turcescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, MŠK Púchov's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Soberano came free, but Štefan Šandal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Jonathan Soberano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Štefan Šandal was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Vincent Nuchalík kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Jonathan Soberano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. MŠK Púchov's Žigmund Janoško suffered a concussion in the 90th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Mauro Abastas's late challenge caught a MŠK Púchov's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Abastas helped the player get up and apologised. MŠK Púchov made a substitution. Milan Surovec replaced Žigmund Janoško. After a rather tough play, Dobrudja 1919's Mauro Abastas got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by MŠK Púchov's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peter Petro was slow to take the kick. During this time Dobrudja 1919's players had a chance to rest. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dobrudja 1919 had played much better football throughout.
