When Andrej Pažický fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Púchov's protests and gave Andrej Pažický a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, FC Štitáre's Donovan Burris got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vladimír Šesták. If Donovan Burris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donovan Burris in the 28th minute of play forced FK Púchov's goalkeeper Vladimír Šesták to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Štitáre's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donovan Burris in the 29th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Edmund Adelsköld got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 4-0. 30 minutes into the match. FC Štitáre's Rune Aronsson got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FK Púchov's Vladimír Šesták played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donovan Burris in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Concetto Guadagnoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Štitáre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Guadagnoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Donovan Burris managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Štitáre's supporters rose to their feet, but Donovan Burris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimír Šesták breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40thth minute of the game Donovan Burris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Púchov's Vladimír Šesták was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donovan Burris in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimír Šesták saved FK Púchov from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Donovan Burris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimír Šesták was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Špaček during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vladimír Šesták was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th minute, Viktor Pukelník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donovan Burris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Vladimír Šesták tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donovan Burris might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimír Šesták. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donovan Burris ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Štitáre's Donovan Burris got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donovan Burris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The FC Štitáre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. There was no doubt that FC Štitáre were the better team. FC Štitáre's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
