The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Gong Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dušan Belko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FC Kukova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gregório Pimentel in the 12th minute. Gregório Pimentel made a great header on FC Kukova's corner, it was just that White Lion's Dušan Belko managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Jozef Šagáth managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kukova's supporters rose to their feet, but Jozef Šagáth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dušan Belko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Róbert Behúň took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef Domanický, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. White Lion's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anders Holm in the 18th minute. FC Kukova's Róbert Behúň proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kukova from getting a goal against them. Dušan Belko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gong Yang's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gong Yang in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dušan Belko saved White Lion from getting behind. A collision led to FC Kukova getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Xosepin Jaramillo hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, White Lion's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Yang came free, but Dušan Belko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anders Holm fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored White Lion's protests and gave Anders Holm a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Anders Holm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th match minute, FC Kukova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhu Zhen Lin to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

White Lion's Alfons Göransson was substituted for Laurend Huyghebaert. Róbert Demjanovič's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbert Behúň read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Dušan Belko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jozef Šagáth in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gong Yang in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dušan Belko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blas Soter's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dušan Belko firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Soter got free with Dušan Belko in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blas Soters short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Dušan Belko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Blas Soter in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dušan Belko, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Soter got free with Dušan Belko in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, FC Kukova's goal looked a bit too open when Jozef Domanický came free, but Róbert Behúň reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. White Lion's Ľubomír Pekarík was substituted for Jozef Domanický. In the 83rd minute, Ľubomír Pekarík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Blas Soter made a precise shot to the right of Dušan Belko. White Lion's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 97th minute Ľubomír Pekarík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Behúň saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Kukova walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
