Matjaž Donkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vid Trampuš tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cene Grm sped through Semič's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elin Mamlić. Zavrč FC's Vid Trampuš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matjaž Donkov in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zavrč FC's Leonid Konda got a free kick in the 15th minute. Vid Trampuš came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Semič's Janos Juhant. But to his dismay, Janos Juhant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anej Belšak during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Semič was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anej Belšak to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Semič's goalkeeper Elin Mamlić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Semič's goal looked a bit too open when Nenad Kajzer came free, but Elin Mamlić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Janos Juhant came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Semič fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Janos Juhant couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matjaž Donkov to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Semič's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nenad Kajzer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 53rd match minute, Zavrč FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nihad Pejčić to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute of the match Zoran Pavšek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vid Trampuš skillfully saved the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Semič's Matjaž Donkov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vid Trampuš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zavrč FC's goalkeeper Vid Trampuš, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matjaž Donkov struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Vid Trampuš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Semič. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cene Grm in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elin Mamlić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonid Konda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elin Mamlić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Nenad Kajzer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Nenad Kajzer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Matjaž Donkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Zoran Pavšek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janos Juhant struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Vid Trampuš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Semič. 86 minutes into the match, Matjaž Donkov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vid Trampuš. Zavrč FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matjaž Donkov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Zavrč FC's Cene Grm got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
