With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Pustotnik in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elin Mamlić saved Semič from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Janos Juhant got free with Oton Junuzović in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Semič's Janos Juhant got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Ig MNK's goal looked a bit too open when Benis Svet came free, but Oton Junuzović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Benis Svet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Semič's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benis Svet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taj Purić during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bernhard Bubnič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elin Mamlić having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Semič's zone, Daniel Pustotnik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elin Mamlić came out of the goal and Daniel Pustotnik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bernhard Bubnič managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ig MNK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernhard Bubnič was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elin Mamlić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute, Daniel Pustotnik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Pustotnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elin Mamlić having to interfere. If Janos Juhant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Janos Juhant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oton Junuzović was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Many of Ig MNK's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ig MNK may have spent more time on the ball, but Semič were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
