Salih Naprudnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasim Ribać in the 2nd minute of play. If Srečo Porčić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasim Ribać in the 11th minute of play forced Cerkno ND's goalkeeper Salih Naprudnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Demeter Guberac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ivančna Gorica ND's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerkno ND the free kick. After 14 played minutes Ivančna Gorica ND got a freekick which was hit by Demeter Guberac. Srečo Porčić struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Miško Flakus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerkno ND. Antiša Rejc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miško Flakus having to interfere. Salih Naprudnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasim Ribać, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 30th minute of the match Demeter Guberac completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Demeter Guberac a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Servacij Trupej had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Srečo Porčić came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Cerkno ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Srečo Porčić couldn't finish the play. If Antiša Rejc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Ivančna Gorica ND's goal looked a bit too open when Srečo Porčić came free, but Miško Flakus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Servacij Trupej was the one to do the kick off. Georgij Terdič charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Georgij Terdič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Georgij Terdič hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Srečo Porčić took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miško Flakus. Miško Flakus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cerkno ND's Brankec Pikelj couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ivančna Gorica ND. In the 80th minute, Ivančna Gorica ND's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Srečo Porčić fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 86th minute, Servacij Trupej ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Salih Naprudnik was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.
