In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind NK Bavarski Volkovi's goalkeeper Vince Lešnik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vince Lešnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Kiebacher in the 10th minute of play. If Miloja Nusdorfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miloja Nusdorfer might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Lešnik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miloja Nusdorfer ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Jarh got free with Dragutin Ružič in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vince Lešnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Kiebacher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Edward Jarh came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the NK Bavarski Volkovi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Jarh couldn't finish the play. Miloja Nusdorfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ismet Komatar kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind NK Bavarski Volkovi's goalkeeper Vince Lešnik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, NK Bavarski Volkovi's goal looked a bit too open when Miloja Nusdorfer came free, but Vince Lešnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timi Udvancs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Dragutin Ružič to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vince Lešnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miloja Nusdorfer in the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, NK Bavarski Volkovi's goal looked a bit too open when Miloja Nusdorfer came free, but Vince Lešnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timi Udvanc was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Tomo Maliqaj was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in NK Bavarski Volkovi's zone, Miloja Nusdorfer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vince Lešnik came out of the goal and Miloja Nusdorfer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cerkno's Amadej Koritnik got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timi Udvanc in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dragutin Ružič saved Cerkno from getting behind. When Miloja Nusdorfer fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerkno's protests and gave Miloja Nusdorfer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Miloja Nusdorfer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vince Lešnik made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Miloja Nusdorfer sent off a good shot on target. Dragutin Ružič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Jarh in the 65th minute of play. NK Bavarski Volkovi's Vince Lešnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Kiebacher in the 71st minute of play. Ion Pelcl's late challenge caught a NK Bavarski Volkovi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Pelcl helped the player get up and apologised. If Timi Udvanc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miloja Nusdorfer got free with Vince Lešnik in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cerkno's Dragutin Ružič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Gregorič in the 81st minute of play. Dragutin Ružič took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Jarh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes of play, NK Bavarski Volkovi's Edward Jarh made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dragutin Ružič was left in no man's land by his defense there! 88 minutes into the match, Edward Jarh notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cerkno's Dragutin Ružič. Dragutin Ružič was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 95th minute, Sandro Gregorič ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dragutin Ružič was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. NK Bavarski Volkovi fully deserved thier win.
