After 6 played minutes Šempeter pri Gorici MNK got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Vodeb. Goren Mencin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilbert Vodeb went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Gilbert Vodeb managed to get in a good position for a shot. Šempeter pri Gorici MNK's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Vodeb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Goren Mencin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Janez Lajevec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rdth minute of the game Janez Lajevec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Danislo's Goren Mencin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilbert Vodeb in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Goren Mencin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilbert Vodeb succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 31st minute of the match Lovrenc Novković sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Goren Mencin skillfully saved the ball. Goren Mencin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Vodeb, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, FC Danislo's goal looked a bit too open when Janez Lajevec came free, but Goren Mencin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Šempeter pri Gorici MNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anis Podakar to maneuver through the defense. Kostja Aljančič took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Servacij Mokotar. Šempeter pri Gorici MNK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matey Senič might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Servacij Mokotar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matey Senič ran back to his position shaking his head. 42 minutes into the game, Rikardo Bilić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Danislo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Šempeter pri Gorici MNK the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Rikardo Bilić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Janez Lajevec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matey Senič to strike the kick off in the second half. Servacij Mokotar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matey Senič, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Lucijan Lozej recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Šempeter pri Gorici MNK's Borivoj Tomić got a free kick in the 57th minute. Goren Mencin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Janez Lajevec in the 62nd minute. Janez Lajevec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Goren Mencin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucijan Lozej fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Servacij Mokotar having to interfere. Gilbert Vodeb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Servacij Mokotar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matey Senič, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Goren Mencin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Vodeb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Gilbert Vodeb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Šempeter pri Gorici MNK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Šempeter pri Gorici MNK played a much better game than FC Danislo and deserved their victory. The FC Danislo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
