Spectators: 6790 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 0) Olov Edström made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goren Štefančič in the 3rd minute of play forced BUBA's goalkeeper Franco Matheus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kole Bratkovič during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Postojna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kole Bratkovič to maneuver through the defense. Božidar Mokotar's late challenge caught a BUBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Božidar Mokotar helped the player get up and apologised. Postojna's Egidio Tavčar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Edström in the 15th minute of play. After 19 played minutes BUBA got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Marquez. After recieving a nice pass, Postojna's Vahidin Greiser tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Codruț Chevereșan scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egidio Tavčar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Egidio Tavčar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Edström in the 28th minute of play. Olov Edström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egidio Tavčar having to interfere. Egidio Tavčar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codruț Chevereșan went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Egidio Tavčar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Chevereșan in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Postojna's goal looked a bit too open when Nino Uratnik came free, but Egidio Tavčar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes Postojna got a freekick which was hit by Kole Bratkovič. 45 minutes into the game, Olov Edström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Egidio Tavčar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Postojna players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BUBA were winning 0-3.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Codruț Chevereșan got free with Egidio Tavčar in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Codruț Chevereșan came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the BUBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codruț Chevereșan couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Codruț Chevereșan sped through Postojna's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egidio Tavčar. After some careless play in the Postojna defense, Codruț Chevereșan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egidio Tavčar. The Postojna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egidio Tavčar should have stopped the shot. BUBA's Olov Edström was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 68th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Codruț Chevereșan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the game, BUBA's Codruț Chevereșan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egidio Tavčar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Codruț Chevereșan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Egidio Tavčar made a huge save. Codruț Chevereșan struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Egidio Tavčar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BUBA. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Postojna! João Pedro Marquez shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After some careless play in the BUBA defense, Božidar Mokotar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Matheus. The BUBA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Matheus should have stopped the shot. BUBA played a much better game than Postojna and deserved their victory. The Postojna players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
