Mavricij Krebelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Miren-Kostanjevica NK's zone, Mavricij Krebelj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hotimir Vrečko came out of the goal and Mavricij Krebelj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Hotimir Vrečko managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Boštanj's Mavricij Krebelj fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute, Sreta Govednik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mavricij Krebeljs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Hotimir Vrečko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mavricij Krebelj could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Hotimir Vrečko made a huge save. Ožbolt Grobelšek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hotimir Vrečko having to interfere. When Ožbolt Grobelšek came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Boštanj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ožbolt Grobelšek couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Mavricij Krebelj left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boštanj fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boštanj's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zejnel Tepić was slow to take the kick. During this time Miren-Kostanjevica NK's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Jusuf Hribovšek managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Drejc Černač was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Boštanj got a freekick which was hit by Advan Kitić. Miren-Kostanjevica NK's Drejc Černač got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hotimir Vrečko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mavricij Krebelj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th match minute, Miren-Kostanjevica NK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Černe to maneuver through the defense. When Ožbolt Grobelšek came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Boštanj fans jumped to their feet. Ožbolt Grobelšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 73 played minutes Miren-Kostanjevica NK got a freekick which was hit by Edvard Černe. Miren-Kostanjevica NK's Hotimir Vrečko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mavricij Krebelj in the 75th minute of play. Ožbolt Grobelšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Boštanj's Mavricij Krebelj in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
