Spectators: 7728 (Terracing: 5797, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 154) Čatež MNK's Horst Kajtna started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Horst Kajtna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Semiko Avšar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute of the match Čatež MNK got a corner. Beltinci's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Medard Dovnik ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 8thth minute of the game Horst Kajtna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beltinci's Semiko Avšar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Beltinci's Semiko Avšar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horst Kajtna in the 11th minute of play. Adi Janežič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Semiko Avšar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Čatež MNK's Horst Kajtna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Semiko Avšar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Horst Kajtna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semiko Avšar having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Čatež MNK got a freekick which was hit by Adi Janežič. 24 minutes into the game, Horst Kajtna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Semiko Avšar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Horst Kajtna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Semiko Avšar. Beltinci's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horst Kajtna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 33rd minute Slađan Hofferle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Semiko Avšar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horst Kajtna in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Semiko Avšar saved Beltinci from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Pero Avšar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Semiko Avšar. Beltinci's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pero Avšar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Slađan Hofferle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semiko Avšar having to interfere. If Horst Kajtna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beltinci's Semiko Avšar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slađan Hofferle in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Čatež MNK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Faguer to strike the kick off in the second half. Slađan Hofferle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Beltinci's Semiko Avšar got control of the ball when Adi Janežič tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 73 played minutes Čatež MNK got a freekick which was hit by Adi Janežič. In the 84th minute, Adi Janežič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Slađan Hofferle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Čatež MNK played a much better game than Beltinci and deserved their victory. The Beltinci players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
