Jakec Arko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Kajnih in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Sonny Vlahović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jakec Arko. Miren-Kostanjevica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sonny Vlahović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Rolando Kajnih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sefedin Doler's late challenge caught a NK IB 1975's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sefedin Doler helped the player get up and apologised. Sefedin Doler kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Kajnih got free with Jakec Arko in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jakec Arko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Vlahović in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute of the match Albis Podobnik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jakec Arko skillfully saved the ball. Jakec Arko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Kajnih, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Miren-Kostanjevica booed when NK IB 1975 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valen Lukanović didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sonny Vlahović in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jakec Arko saved Miren-Kostanjevica from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Rolando Kajnih left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NK IB 1975 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.
