Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fabio Kogovšek kicked off to start the match. If Jane Brecel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Smajil Kajtna was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. Žalec NK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Smajil Kajtna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Žalec NK's supporters rose to their feet, but Smajil Kajtna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horst Krope breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horst Krope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Smajil Kajtna in the 11th minute of play. Smajil Kajtna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Fabio Kogovšek notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Žalec NK's Edison Simon. Edison Simon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Smajil Kajtna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horst Krope having to interfere. Jane Brecel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Horst Krope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Smajil Kajtna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stična's Horst Krope was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th match minute, Stična was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragiša Pečevnik to maneuver through the defense. If Jane Brecel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th match minute, Stična was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jur Špilak to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Stična booed when Žalec NK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Žarko Nerer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Smajil Kajtna made a kick off. Horst Krope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Smajil Kajtna, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Alfonz Velej sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Stična's Fabio Kogovšek in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Žalec NK's goalie prevented a goal. Horst Krope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Smajil Kajtna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85thth minute of the game Smajil Kajtna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stična's Horst Krope was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Alfonz Velej came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Stična fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonz Velej couldn't finish the play. Žarko Nerer hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Edison Simon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonz Velej in the 94th minute. Alfonz Velej's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edison Simon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Stična players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
