After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ajdin Pepelnik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kranjska gora FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ajdin Pepelnik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenco Valjavec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jože Ušaj got free with Hasib Stadler in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th match minute, Kranjska gora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nasan Odar to maneuver through the defense. Hasib Stadler made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Jože Ušaj sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Kranjska gora FC booed when Žalec MNK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enis Kraškovic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nasan Odar hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Kranjska gora FC got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandar Kovačević. Andrej Primožič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hasib Stadler having to interfere. Jože Ušaj struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Hasib Stadler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Žalec MNK. Muharem Smole charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Muharem Smole the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Kranjska gora FC got a freekick which was hit by Muharem Smole. Jože Ušaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hasib Stadler having to interfere. Ajdin Pepelnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenco Valjavec having to interfere. Pavao Brvar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lorenco Valjavec came out and tried to block the shot, but Pavao Brvar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 79th minute. Hasib Stadler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrej Primožič in the 84th minute of play. Jože Ušaj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Žalec MNK booed when Kranjska gora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksandar Kovačević didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Andrej Primožič got free in front of the goal in the 89th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Hasib Stadler was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Kranjska gora FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Žalec MNK:s goal. Erminij Šmon shot the penalty kick right outside the post.
