With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alojz Golob prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Godovič MNK's Zeid Lavrič got a free kick in the 9th minute. Zeid Lavrič hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosando Sgerm kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alojz Golob. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Alojz Golob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosando Sgerm in the 20th minute of the match. Zeid Lavrič charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeid Lavrič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Zeid Lavrič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dujo Ogorelec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dražan Banović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Demis Boh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alojz Golob read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Vipava's Ljuban Jančar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dražan Banović in the 65th minute of play. Asmir Drobež sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bogomil Deberšek's late challenge caught a Vipava's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 79thth minute of the game Demis Boh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Godovič MNK's Alojz Golob was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 80 played minutes Vipava got a freekick which was hit by Matiček Rotar. Ljuban Jančar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dražan Banović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vipava getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Asmir Drobež hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes Godovič MNK got a freekick which was hit by Dujo Ogorelec. When Sefedin Kramžar fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godovič MNK's protests and gave Sefedin Kramžar a yellow card for diving instead. If Dražan Banović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vipava's Ljuban Jančar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dražan Banović in the 97th minute of play. Dujo Ogorelec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 102nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ljuban Jančar having to interfere. If Demis Boh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 106th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Godovič MNK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vipava.
