Dražan Banović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamenko Porčić having to interfere. Dujo Ogorelecs short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Kamenko Porčić to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 7th match minute, Football Academy Lendava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antiša Blagus to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dražan Banović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamenko Porčić was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Esad Smerke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alojz Golob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esad Smerke in the 12th minute of the match. When Lazar Ažman fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godovič MNK's protests and gave Lazar Ažman a yellow card for diving instead. Lazar Ažman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Dujo Ogorelec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dražan Banović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Kamenko Porčić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Godovič MNK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Dujo Ogorelec hit a great ball. Kamenko Porčić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dražan Banović in the 23rd minute of play. Dujo Ogorelec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamenko Porčić having to interfere. Godovič MNK's Alojz Golob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miodrag Porić in the 28th minute of play. Miodrag Porić took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alojz Golob. Alojz Golob dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dražan Banović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dražan Banović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamenko Porčić having to interfere. A hard shot 37 in the game by Dujo Ogorelec from a close distance when the talented Kamenko Porčić managed to make a qualified save. Football Academy Lendava's players were relieved. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Godovič MNK's goalkeeper Alojz Golob, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Esad Smerke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dražan Banović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Dražan Banović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Football Academy Lendava's Kamenko Porčić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Football Academy Lendava's goal looked a bit too open when Dražan Banović came free, but Kamenko Porčić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kamenko Porčić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dujo Ogorelec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lazar Ažman was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Romi Korada got in the 68th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Alojz Golob. This was a shot which ended in a score of 0-2. After having played for 72 minutes, Dujo Ogorelec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godovič MNK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dujo Ogorelec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 played minutes, Football Academy Lendava's Anton Varl shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alojz Golob came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Football Academy Lendava reached it. Alojz Golob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miodrag Porić in the 83rd minute of play. Esad Smerke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Alojz Golob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Esad Smerke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dražan Banović charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dražan Banović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Football Academy Lendava eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
