Spectators: 6800 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 20) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mujo Lukek kicked off to start the match. Ljupko Vučko stood somewhat misplaced when Alphonse Fontan came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. Thomas Giliusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Čedomir Krejči in the 17th minute of the match. Podlehnik ND's Ljupko Vučko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Podlehnik ND from getting a goal against them. Štefko Babnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alphonse Fontan got free with Ljupko Vučko in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thomas Giliusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mujo Lukek in the 26th minute of play. Alphonse Fontans short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Ljupko Vučko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 34 minutes, Alphonse Fontan made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Podlehnik ND's Ljupko Vučko tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute Mujo Lukek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Giliusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Podlehnik ND's Ljupko Vučko got control of the ball when Alphonse Fontan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thomas Giliusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mujo Lukek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Alphonse Fontan put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ljupko Vučko.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alphonse Fontan to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alphonse Fontan in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ljupko Vučko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ljupko Vučko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alphonse Fontan in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Alphonse Fontan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ljupko Vučko. Podlehnik ND's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alphonse Fontan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When Alphonse Fontan came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Slovenj Gradec ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alphonse Fontan couldn't finish the play. Ljupko Vučko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alphonse Fontan in the 67th minute of play. In the 79th minute Alphonse Fontan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ljupko Vučko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Podlehnik ND got a freekick which was hit by Hektor Čelebić. Srdžan Cerkvenik kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Čedomir Krejči got free with Thomas Giliusson in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Podlehnik ND's Ljupko Vučko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alphonse Fontan in the 92nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Podlehnik ND defense, Alphonse Fontan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ljupko Vučko. The Podlehnik ND fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ljupko Vučko should have stopped the shot. Slovenj Gradec ND's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
