Lendava's Čedomir Škoberne got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haris Orel hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Krzysztof Praski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Čedomir Škoberne in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Ismail Svetina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Medard Frelih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krzysztof Praski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Čedomir Škoberne, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Medard Frelih cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Siniša Avguštin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Lipica's zone, Šimun Perkič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krzysztof Praski came out of the goal and Šimun Perkič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Šimun Perkič could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Krzysztof Praski made a huge save. A collision led to Lipica getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Deniz Blagus hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Šimun Perkič got free with Krzysztof Praski in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Lendava booed when Lipica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deniz Blagus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Lendava players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lipica were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Čedomir Škoberne made the kick off in the second half. Lipica's Medard Frelih got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Čedomir Škoberne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krzysztof Praski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Čedomir Škoberne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lendava's Siniša Avguštin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medard Frelih in the 69th minute of play. Lipica's Haris Orel got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Haris Orel off the ground. In the 72nd match minute, Lipica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haris Orel to maneuver through the defense. Krzysztof Praski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Čedomir Škoberne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Lendava's Čedomir Škoberne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Krzysztof Praski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Šimun Perkič in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Krzysztof Praski saved Lipica from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Lipica's Slobodan Matjaž got a free kick in the 80th minute. It was beautiful to see Lendava's Ljudevit Popovič in action when he in the 81st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 84th minute Šimun Perkič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Praski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Čedomir Škoberne in the 87th minute of play forced Lipica's goalkeeper Krzysztof Praski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Deniz Blagus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siniša Avguštin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Celestin Kraner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Medard Frelih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siniša Avguštin having to interfere. Lipica's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
