Čedomir Škoberne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Refik Stritar having to interfere. Semir Brezočnik came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Siniša Avguštin could save by the left post. Refik Stritar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Šimun Perkič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Richard Guček managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lendava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Guček was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moravci ND's Refik Stritar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Šimun Perkič in the 30th minute of play. Čedomir Škoberne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Refik Stritar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Šimun Perkič stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Richard Guček sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Moravci ND getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mirando Župec hit a great ball. When Ismet Jus came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Moravci ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismet Jus couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Šimun Perkič fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Refik Stritar, passed just outside the right post. Šimun Perkič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Refik Stritar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Semir Brezočnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lendava's Siniša Avguštin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Semir Brezočnik in the 91st minute of play. If Šimun Perkič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Šimun Perkič had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Refik Stritar. Moravci ND's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Šimun Perkič was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Lendava players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
