Spectators: 6798 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1798, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robi Bele started the match with the kick off. Suad Rauter kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Kobarid getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Zvone Perović hit a great ball. If Meti Kodele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 played minutes Koper got a freekick which was hit by Renato Pikl. Meti Kodele took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vid Štrajhar. Vid Štrajhar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Robi Bele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koper's Vid Štrajhar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robi Bele in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Kobarid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Meti Kodele to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Kobarid's Robi Bele sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vid Štrajhar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Kobarid getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Zvone Perović hit a great ball. The supporters of Koper booed when Kobarid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loris Dobrajc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Koper's Liberat Valant dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Koper's Renato Pikl got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 54 played minutes, Kobarid's Nevij Kalan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vid Štrajhar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kobarid reached it. Luca Stojanović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoslav Bilić in the 63rd minute of play. Robi Bele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Vid Štrajhar made a huge save. Vid Štrajhar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nevij Kalan in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute, Robi Bele made a precise shot to the right of Vid Štrajhar. Koper's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Kobarid's Luca Stojanović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žak Sevčnikar in the 85th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Koper's Liberat Valant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luca Stojanović made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Vid Štrajhar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Aleš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kobarid players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Koper from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
