Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zdenislav Jesenšek in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kras Lenko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rogaška's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Zdenislav Jesenšek scored to the left of an out of position Kras Lenko, making the score, 1-0. Sergij Lapajne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kras Lenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Kemal Gašperlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rogaška and the Veržej players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kemal Gašperlin kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Veržej's Tomislav Radoš nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kras Lenko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Kras Lenko successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Veržej getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tomislav Radoš hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Tomislav Radoš managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veržej's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomislav Radoš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kras Lenko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kras Lenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomislav Radoš in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes Rogaška's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vahidin Šestić who took care of the corner kick. Vahidin Šestić made a great header on Veržej's corner, it was just that Rogaška's Kras Lenko managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 40th minute, Florijan Goltes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jurij Cerkvenik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Trnovec in the 43rd minute of the match. If Tomislav Radoš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Rogaška getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Peter Kršinar hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 54th minute Zdenislav Jesenšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kras Lenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kras Lenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zdenislav Jesenšek in the 55th minute of the match. Kras Lenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdenislav Jesenšek in the 60th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Zdenislav Jesenšek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rogaška's Kras Lenko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Veržej's Zdenislav Jesenšek in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rogaška's goalie prevented a goal. Zdenislav Jesenšek scored 4-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kras Lenko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Rogaška's zone, Tomislav Radoš stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kras Lenko came out of the goal and Tomislav Radoš tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zdenislav Jesenšek in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kras Lenko saved Rogaška from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Sergij Lapajne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 minutes, Ostoja Levanič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veržej and the Rogaška players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rogaška booed when Veržej was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ostoja Levanič didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florijan Goltes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jurij Cerkvenik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davide Trnovec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurij Cerkvenik having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rogaška players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Veržej.
