Duplek MNK's Mišo Goropevšek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihajlo Stevens in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhard Prelovšek in the 20th minute of play forced Velika Polana FC's goalkeeper Murat Kramžar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toni Simončič blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Murat Kramžar having to make a save. After 26 played minutes Velika Polana FC got a freekick which was hit by Stevan Mihajlović. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Simončič in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murat Kramžar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Iris Maurič's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murat Kramžar was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Toni Simončič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murat Kramžar having to interfere. Mihajlo Stevens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mišo Goropevšek having to interfere. Lavrencij Foltin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Darian Vršič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Štefan Markovič shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mišo Goropevšek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mihajlo Stevens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Lavrencij Foltin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velika Polana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lavrencij Foltin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mišo Goropevšek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
