Radlje ob Dravi's Karlo Debevec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Radlje ob Dravi from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Rateče NK's Artur Sedlak got a free kick in the 4th minute. Fulvijo Primar's late challenge caught a Rateče NK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulvijo Primar helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Radlje ob Dravi got a freekick which was hit by Fulvijo Primar. In the 16th minute, Artur Sedlak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karlo Debevec was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Artur Sedlak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karlo Debevec read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, one of Rateče NK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Radlje ob Dravi a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rožle Krivec, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rateče NK's Bujar Hribovšek. 1-1. Nace Mandelj hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandi Meklav made a kick off. Radlje ob Dravi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rožle Krivec in the 54th minute. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rateče NK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rožle Krivec was slow to take the kick. During this time Radlje ob Dravi's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Rožle Krivec almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rateče NK's Bujar Hribovšek did a great save. Thanks to some nice moves Živojin Rovtar could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Bujar Hribovšek however easily saved by the left post. After 64 played minutes Živojin Rovtar rounded Rateče NK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. When Artur Sedlak came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Rateče NK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Sedlak couldn't finish the play. Radlje ob Dravi's Karlo Debevec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marjan Grubelnik in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Radlje ob Dravi getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Tristan Lužar hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Marjan Grubelnik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rateče NK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Živojin Rovtar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Marjan Grubelnik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karlo Debevec was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. 91 minutes into the match, Rateče NK's Artur Sedlak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karlo Debevec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marjan Grubelnik kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Marjan Grubelnik stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Radlje ob Dravi's defenders and the ball went out. Rateče NK appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Živojin Rovtar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-3 in the 97th playminute.
