In the 3rd match minute, Sežana NK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stojan Kac to maneuver through the defense. Ramo Klasinc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Aleks Vacić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andjelko Stepišnik struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Aleks Vacić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sežana NK. Željko Orehek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, Sežana NK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zvone Blagus to maneuver through the defense. Voranc Skubic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Željko Orehek, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Andjelko Stepišnik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Željko Orehek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Voranc Skubic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Voranc Skubic came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Kobarid's Leo Korpič. But to his dismay, Leo Korpič quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Gajšek during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Voranc Skubic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Željko Orehek, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Kobarid's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Ramo Klasinc scored to the left of an out of position Aleks Vacić, making the score, 1-1. In the 35th minute, Željko Orehek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Voranc Skubic was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramo Klasinc got free with Aleks Vacić in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute Andjelko Stepišnik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleks Vacić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Kobarid were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd of the match, Željko Orehek tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Voranc Skubic got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Andjelko Stepišnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Sežana NK's Ramo Klasinc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aleks Vacić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sežana NK's Zvone Blagus got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bela Kač who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Voranc Skubic when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 67 minutes, Edward Flander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sežana NK and the Kobarid players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sežana NK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! The score was 1-3 after a penalty in the 69th minute, where Kobarid:s Kazimir Mak tricked Sežana NK:s Voranc Skubic with a difficult ball by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ramo Klasinc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sežana NK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramo Klasinc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleks Vacić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kobarid's Aleks Vacić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramo Klasinc in the 78th minute of play. Ramo Klasinc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Aleks Vacić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleks Vacić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramo Klasinc in the 89th minute of the match. In the 96th match minute, Kobarid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Gajšek to maneuver through the defense. The Kobarid players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
