Spectators: 6814 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jožek Zdouc took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Majšperk defense, Slavko Smodiš kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jugoslav Žlebnik. The Majšperk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jugoslav Žlebnik should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Jožek Zdouc lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Suad Praznik. Suad Praznik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jožek Zdouc showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 13 minute of play. Šoštanj ND's Brando Franjčić pulled a muscle in his back after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jožek Zdouc hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Srečo Cotman fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Majšperk's protests and gave Srečo Cotman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Majšperk getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Srečo Cotman hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bujar Jakolič got free with Suad Praznik in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marij Kepic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jugoslav Žlebnik having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Šoštanj ND's goalkeeper Suad Praznik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bujar Jakolič. In the 30thth minute of the game Jožek Zdouc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Šoštanj ND's Suad Praznik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jožek Zdouc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avgust Kramžar kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Suad Praznik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jožek Zdouc in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marij Kepic during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Šoštanj ND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marij Kepic to maneuver through the defense. If Slavko Smodiš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Avgust Kramžar fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Šoštanj ND's protests and gave Avgust Kramžar a yellow card for diving instead. Avgust Kramžar hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Šoštanj ND's Suad Praznik got control of the ball when Bujar Jakolič tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Slavko Smodiš was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Grozdan Serdinšek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Slavko Smodiš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jugoslav Žlebnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irving Špegel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jožek Zdouc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Suad Praznik having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Šoštanj ND's goal looked a bit too open when Bujar Jakolič came free, but Suad Praznik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Šoštanj ND's Avgust Kramžar got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Avgust Kramžar off the ground. Avgust Kramžar hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jožek Zdouc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Majšperk's Bujar Jakolič got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Majšperk getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rajmund Biščak hit a great ball. The supporters of Majšperk booed when Šoštanj ND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irving Špegel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bujar Jakolič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Šoštanj ND's goalkeeper Suad Praznik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Majšperk's zone, Marij Kepic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jugoslav Žlebnik came out of the goal and Marij Kepic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bujar Jakolič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jožek Zdouc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Bujar Jakolič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Suad Praznik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Majšperk had won after a very even match.
