Spectators: 6800 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Žarko Preželj got the match started through his kick off. Elin Štrukelj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damjan Peklenk having to interfere. Damjan Peklenk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Pleše went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elin Štrukelj in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damjan Peklenk saved Tabor from getting behind. After some careless play in the Tabor defense, Jonathan Pleše kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damjan Peklenk. The Tabor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damjan Peklenk should have stopped the shot. Elin Štrukelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Pleše recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damjan Peklenk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elin Štrukelj went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, AK Brežice's Tadij Šmalcelj got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 38 played minutes Tabor got a freekick which was hit by Vid Colavini. Elin Štrukelj struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Damjan Peklenk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AK Brežice. If Elin Štrukelj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Jonathan Pleše fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damjan Peklenk having to interfere. If Elin Štrukelj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tadij Šmalcelj charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadij Šmalcelj the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tabor booed when AK Brežice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadij Šmalcelj didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Tabor's Jurček Lamut broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. AK Brežice's Hajdar Kokot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otmar Reisp in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Tabor's goal looked a bit too open when Semir Fejzula came free, but Damjan Peklenk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Romi Mak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damjan Peklenk made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Elin Štrukelj sent off a good shot on target. Damjan Peklenk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Pleše, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elin Štrukelj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Damjan Peklenk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hajdar Kokot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Polde Anzeljc in the 93rd minute of play. AK Brežice played a much better game than Tabor and deserved their victory. The Tabor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
