After a defensive mix-up in Dobje's zone, Klavdij Drnovšek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klavdij Kainz came out of the goal and Klavdij Drnovšek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Klavdij Drnovšek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Manojla Mađarić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bore Mihalek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Velko Sečko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Žirovnica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dobje the free kick. After a rather tough play, Žirovnica's Velko Sečko got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Klavdij Drnovšek put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Klavdij Kainz.

Maksimiljan Frankovič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bore Mihalek in the 55th minute of play. When Rupert Veličkovič fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Žirovnica's protests and gave Rupert Veličkovič a yellow card for diving instead. Rupert Veličkovič kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ignacij Koci during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot by Milutin Brvar from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Klavdij Kainz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Klavdij Kainz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaso Vršič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Dobje getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Cene Jernejc hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes, Dobje's Jure Turšič shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maksimiljan Frankovič came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dobje reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bore Mihalek in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maksimiljan Frankovič prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Manojla Mađarić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 98 minutes, Rupert Veličkovič managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Žirovnica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rupert Veličkovič was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Žirovnica eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
