Ljubo Mubi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeid Habbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeid Habbe in the 12th minute of play forced Šmarje pri Jelšah's goalkeeper Ljubo Mubi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomaž Krejačič took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Milija Jurman. Kobilje FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeid Habbe in the 22nd minute of play forced Šmarje pri Jelšah's goalkeeper Ljubo Mubi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miloš Fekonja got free with Milija Jurman in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kobilje FC's Milija Jurman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Živko Isajevič in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Šmarje pri Jelšah's zone, Arsen Velnar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ljubo Mubi came out of the goal and Arsen Velnar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsen Velnar took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ljubo Mubi. Ljubo Mubi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Arsen Velnar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ljubo Mubi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeid Habbe in the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Zeid Habbe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kobilje FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeid Habbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Zeid Habbe made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Miloš Fekonja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Šmarje pri Jelšah's supporters rose to their feet, but Miloš Fekonja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milija Jurman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marlon Zaman got free with Ljubo Mubi in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Živko Isajevič in the 68th minute of play forced Kobilje FC's goalkeeper Milija Jurman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Šmarje pri Jelšah's goalkeeper Ljubo Mubi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juvencij Ciglar kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Kobilje FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
