In the 3rd match minute, Real Sostro CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatko Šubelj to maneuver through the defense. Real Sostro CF's Zlatko Šubelj got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Borovnica NK booed when Real Sostro CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zlatko Šubelj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evgen Gruden took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ardenko Valenčič. Ardenko Valenčič dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Sostro CF's goalkeeper Ardenko Valenčič, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ardenko Valenčič showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evgen Gruden in the 15th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Borovnica NK got a freekick which was hit by Vekoslav Kampjut. Vekoslav Kampjut kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ardenko Valenčič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isen Čuš in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Sostro CF's Zlatko Šubelj got a free kick in the 31st minute. Isen Čuš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oskar Jeraj made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Sostro CF's Bogomil Krapež. Bogomil Krapež received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pavli Jeromel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borovnica NK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Zlatko Šubelj scored to the left of an out of position Pavli Jeromel, making the score, 1-1. Ardenko Valenčič showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isen Čuš in the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Real Sostro CF's Zlatko Šubelj nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavli Jeromel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogomil Krapež made a kick off. Evgen Gruden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ardenko Valenčič made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogomil Krapež in the 64th minute of play forced Borovnica NK's goalkeeper Pavli Jeromel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Bogomil Krapež left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Sostro CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Evgen Gruden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tjaž Sobočan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavli Jeromel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Bogomil Krapež sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Sostro CF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
