The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baltazar Makuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paskal Ržen kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Ilir Krenn charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilir Krenn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Ilir Krenn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boštjan Podrepšek in the 15th minute of play forced INFINITY's goalkeeper Aljoša Višnovar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branko Cijan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aljoša Višnovar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Newton Heath L&YR F.C booed when INFINITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paskal Ržen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brin Klaneček hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match Edvin Rizmal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aljoša Višnovar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gabrijel Pograjc hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Baltazar Makuc got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Doran Hvala, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alaga Ožura was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 31st minute Brin Klaneček shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alaga Ožura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Elvin Skalar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in INFINITY's zone, Edvin Rizmal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aljoša Višnovar came out of the goal and Edvin Rizmal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doran Hvala to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Boštjan Podrepšek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aljoša Višnovar. Boštjan Podrepšek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Alaga Ožura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doran Hvala, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Newton Heath L&YR F.C defense, Baltazar Makuc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alaga Ožura. The Newton Heath L&YR F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alaga Ožura should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, INFINITY's Paskal Ržen got a free kick in the 70th minute. INFINITY's Aljoša Višnovar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boštjan Podrepšek in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Newton Heath L&YR F.C getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bem Bahč hit a great ball. Doran Hvala took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alaga Ožura. Alaga Ožura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alaga Ožura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doran Hvala's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. INFINITY's Aljoša Višnovar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boštjan Podrepšek in the 88th minute of play. Branko Cijan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Aljoša Višnovar made a huge save. The supporters of Newton Heath L&YR F.C booed when INFINITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvin Skalar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Newton Heath L&YR F.C's Edvin Rizmal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
