NK Debenec's supporters rose to their feet, but Janko Kerpan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aljoša Višnovar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aljoša Višnovar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dražan Belšak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, NK Debenec's goal looked a bit too open when Doran Hvala came free, but Timotej Štrajhar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dražan Belšak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Aljoša Višnovar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timotej Štrajhar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Makuc in the 42nd minute of play. Dražan Belšak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aljoša Višnovar having to interfere. With a little luck, INFINITY's Aljoša Višnovar got control of the ball when Janko Kerpan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dražan Belšak was the one to do the kick off. INFINITY's Aljoša Višnovar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janko Kerpan in the 54th minute of play. Janko Kerpan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aljoša Višnovar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Janko Kerpan made a precise shot to the right of Aljoša Višnovar. INFINITY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Timotej Štrajhar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doran Hvala in the 76th minute of the match. NK Debenec's Janko Kerpan got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Janko Kerpan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aljoša Višnovar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dražan Belšak went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Brin Klaneček, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Timotej Štrajhar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Doran Hvala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timotej Štrajhar having to interfere. The supporters of INFINITY booed when NK Debenec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klavdij Painkret didn't get a good kick on the ball. When INFINITY's Doran Hvala in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NK Debenec's goalie prevented a goal. Aljoša Višnovar had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Rade Kovačec's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. NK Debenec had won after a very even match.
